When you draw down the moon, you are essentially taking the Goddess into your own body and spirit. You may feel like you are in a trance,or you may feel like you can conqure the world through her energies, everyone is different. She will give you the feeling she feels suits you! But one thing that I am sure of, you will walk away with more wisdom than you had before.

To draw down the moon go outside underneath the full moon. Standing in the Goddess' position which is this; Have your arms outstretched towards the moon in a "V" shape. Have your legs spread out about shoulder width. This position will let you receive all the energies from the moon and the Earth through your palms and your feet.

If feasable you can be skyclad (nude), if not barefoot will be just fine. Stand in all of the goddess' glory and say the invoction below:

Bewitching goddess of the crossroads
Whose secrets are kept in the night,
You are half remembered, half forgotten
And are found in the shadows of the night.

From the misty hidden caverns
In ancient magick days,
Comes the truth once forbidden
Of thy heavenly veiled ways.

Cloaked in velvet darkness
A dancer in the flames
You who are called Diana, Hecate,
And many other names.

I call upon your wisdom
And beseech thee from this time,
To enter my expectant soul
That our essence shall combine.

I beckon thee O ancient one
From far and distant shore,
Come, come be with me now
This I ask, and nothing more.
