Dragons As Co-Magickians

I just wanted to ellaborate on working with dragons, thus the need for a second page on this topic. The correct term here would be dragons as co-magickians.If they are treated as equal partners you will have much more success in magick rituals and spells. Dragons are very wise and you would be best to befriend them than against them.I am not an expert on dragon magick, but I have worked with a few times in ritual and spellcrafting as I continue to do so. I find the dragons very powerful to work with. I do not reccomend beginners to try this quite yet. However if you are a natural or comfortable working with them, then continue on.

The Four Quarters & Spirit Dragons

Some of its conditions are warm and moist. Positive attributes listed are: clouds, intellect, renewing, and helpful airs. Negative attributes are: gossiping, bragging, tornadoes or other damaging airs.

The Fire Dragon (Draig-Teine)- The name given to the dragon of South is Fafnir (faf' near) by Conway. This Dragon controls sunbeams and fire and its representive color is Red. The Water Dragon (Draig-Uisge)- The name given to the dragon of West is Naelyan (nail' yon) by Conway. This Dragon controls the seas, springs and lakes. Its representive color is Blue. Some of its conditions are cold and moist. Positive attributes are: autumn, water chalice, emotions, intuition and helpful Waters. Negative attributes are: floods, harmful waters, instability and lack of emotional control.

The Earth Dragon(Draig-Talamh)- The name given to the dragon of North is Grael (grail) by Conway. This Dragon controls the land, mountains and gemstones. Its representive color dark Green. Some of its conditions are cold and dry. Positive attributes are: midnite, sea-salt, gem bowl, gemstones, soil, stability and grounded. Negative attributes are: stubbornness, indecisive, and earthquakes.

The Spirit Dragons(Draig-Sorcha & Draig-Dorcha)- are the rulers of the center of the circle and are the Dragons of Balance. They are represented by the use of the Black (dark) candle and the White (light) candles. They are a culmination of the other four dragons and balance the Elementals out. The left candle is Black and represents the negative and feminine side. The right candle is White and represents the positive current and masculine attributes. It's a lot like the yen-yang, dark-light, equal but opposites theory. A magician will do well to work with both energy currents in harmony. Draig-Sorcha represents the Akasha or spirit and is ruled by Raxor. Draig-Dorcha represents the darkness or chaos and is ruled by Tiamat.

Eye of the Dragon (NEW)

The ancient Druids considered the powerful magnetic ley lines in the Earth to be the body of the Dragon. There are several places that are considered as these sacred hot spots including such places as: The Glastonbury Tor, Snowdonia, the Dragons Ilse/Wight and others spots. These energy lines were oftentimes marked by Menhirs (Standing Stones) in areas such as Stonehenge.

The Dragon's eye can be drawn inside the sacred circle on the soil with your sword or other magickal tool. You can also draw the dragon eye in the air or on objects as a powerful sigil.

In calling of the Dragon's power, certain symbologies were known well and the attributes of the Dragon are as follows:

Weapon= Sword
Elemental= Fire
Planet= Mars
Incense= Dragons Blood
Number= 2
Metal= Gold or Iron
Stones= Tigers eye, Chrysoberyl
Symbol= Dragon's Eye

Evocation of the Dragon
Old Latin
(Chant):

"Cum saxum saxorum
In duersum montum oparum da,
In aetibulum
In quinatum - Draconis!"
