What Defines "Advanced Topics"?

I should point out that you ought to be at least a 1st degree or above, to safely use the advanced magick or knowledge found in this section. In other words you should be past the Wicca 101 syndrome. Because you need to be aware of the inner workings of spell crafting. There are many books to teach you the inner workings of the craft. By inner workings I mean you should know why and how a spells work. The dynamics of creating a spell or ritual and correspondences of magickal colors, directions, charts, the archangels and Wortcunning.

Most Wicca 101 books or Ceremonial beginner books will teach you the basics and history of Witchcraft or other areas of the craft. But what about ritual design? Or how do you get rid of a nasty spirit? That knowledge is not generally given to new people in the craft for good reasons. If you have been in Wicca, Ceremonial craft or similar for 2 months, do you believe you would know a banishing? Would you be able to communicate with spirits? You probably wouldn’t, unless you were a natural medium. Or an overnight ceremonial magician.

I am not shunning the newbies at all. In fact I encourage anyone who is interested at all in the craft studies to read a lot of good books on paganism or occult topics. Books have helped me tremendously in my studies. I would not be where I am today if it were not for Raymond Buckland and Scott Cunningham, Gerald Gardner and Oberon Ravenheart. These forefathers of craft books are great. A couple of good advanced books are Edain McCoy's "Advanced Witchcraft" and DJ Conway's "Advanced Celtic Shamanism" books. If you don't have these two books, get them immediately. They are both excellent advanced books. I still go back and read “Buckland Blue Book “from time to time. Raymond is a genius. I would only hope to meet and have coffee with him someday. I have met Edain McCoy several times and she is a wonderful down to earth and very knowledgable individual. As an updated to Raymond, my wife and I got the chance to meet him this past October 14th 2006. He is a great man to talk to. We attended one of his workshops at the Universal Expo in Ohio. We have new photo's to put up on this site; and they should be up soon.

Short Author Bio

I have been interested in Wizardry for a long time, since 18 years old, But I did not have any luck finding much materials on the particular subject. While seeking information on the true Wizardry over the years, I found Wicca and Ceremonial craft to be as close to this way of life as I could get.Not realizing the whole time of my studies of occult knowledge in different areas of interest that I was already doing exactly what I was so frantically trying so hard to find. In 2005 I discovered Oberon Zell-RavenHeart's Book "For the Apprentice Wizard". I couldn't believe that I had already been doing most of the things in his book already as a Wizard. It was under my nose the whole time! Oberon has shed a lot of light in my respected area of interest. He has also written a companion book to the first book, which I recently purchased.

I am not in any way boasting of what I know of the craft. However, I have studied my 101 books for quite some time. I have moved on to a broader range of ideas and thoughts of the craft. Yes I know I am very modest. I am a Virgo. I do not limit myself to just Wiccan studies. I don’t recommend that you do either. I do read other types of books of occult subjects. In fact I have read some books on Shamanism, Taoism , Druidism, the Celts, Wizardry and Ceremonial magic. There is nothing wrong with reading these other genres of ideas. The more you study the more knowledgeable you will be. A true Wizard studies all areas of the craft and even other forms of religion.

Some of my personal goals is that I have achieved the 3rd-degree status (Wicca) from the Dragon Clan Circle Coven which I am no longer a part of, and also I am an Ordained Minister by ULC Seminary. I am the High Priest of our own Grove called "Triple Spiral Grove".( A Celtic based pagan group.)Whom I share the Priesthood with my Wife Lady Nemetona. An update on the Triple Spiral Grove, we have since ended our Grove in light of returning back to our Solitary ways. I myself have moved my studies to more Wizardry type learnings. Magenta Rose is more Faery Wicca.

I got here by reading and practicing the rituals that I have studied. In fact, my wife taught me how to perform a ritual in my early stages of Wicca. She and I practiced magick and have done rituals together many, many times. So don't be a person who just reads the books and not try the example exercises and rituals. Do them as well. That is where you will achieve the most out of the books. Study hard if you want to achieve a higher knowledge and wisdom.

Well, enough on me. The primary focus is on advanced subjects. So in these sections you will find knowledge of a higher degree in ceremonial craft, Wizardry, and other similar ideas. Blessed Be All. I hope you find some useful information in these next few pages. (Use left hand panel to surf our advanced pages.) It is under: "Beyond 101"
